Stø, Nordland, Norway

Stø (6) sweep panorama, originally uploaded by tmv_media.

It would seem that I started this page after retrurning from my trip north of the Arctic Circle.

I went there in the summer of 2010 and witnessed 24hr daylight for just over 2 weeks.

Of all the places we went, I think Stø was my favourite.

It's a small place on the edge of the Vesterålen islands off the coast of northern Norway.

Its main revenue comes from salt cod, or stockfish as it is also known. However it is also the location of Arctic Whale Tours.

I was only there for a couple of days before we moved down to the Lofoten islands.
